secrets

I am a college student and the other day I went to a club fair on campus. I stopped at one booth to hear what this girl had to say and she told me that they were having everyone write down their secrets on these square pieces of paper and they were posting them in the school. She had a few examples with her and I read one that said, “My roommates get upset with me for showering too much, but I need my time alone!” I laughed casually at that one and she admitted it was hers. I didn’t think that was truly a secret, but I guess secrets can be just about anything; whatever you find too embarrassing or humiliating to share with another.
It’s hard to define yourself. Everyday you carry on just as you had the last day. At what point can you stop and analyze your actions? Or should they be constantly analyzed and re-adjusted for the most effective results.
Not to mention the fact that self-evaluation is hardly ever correct and is more contingent on your personal success of a few days then your life and the way you live it on a broader scale. Everyone lies to themselves because it’s easier to be happy with yourself when your flaws aren’t all up close and personal.

If you were honest...What would your secret be?
It’s funny how you don’t realize you are considering something or that you had an opinion on a certain topic until you open your mouth to tell someone about it. We don’t comprehend how much we know until we teach someone who knows nothing on the subject.
